Back Pressure Valve / Anti Syphoning valve

Many metering pump applications dispense to atmospheric conditions or into a process with less than 1.5bar pressure and more typically, into a process with erratic system pressure. These applications require back pressure to ensure a constant pressure for the discharge check assembly on the metering pump to work properly. It is crucial that Back Pressure Valves be installed in the discharge piping of the pump to ensure a constant pressure for the discharge check assembly to work under. This allows for the repeatability of a constant fluid discharge per stroke, and accuracy desired. Additionally, back pressure valves automatically provide anti-siphon protection and are available in a variety of sizes and materials.

Pressure relief valve

Pressure relief valve is a self operating valve that is used to relieve pressure by allowing the pressurized fluids (liquids. Gas or gas liquid mixtures) to flow from an auxiliary passage out of the vessel or process system. Pressure relief valves are designed to protect chemical feed systems from overpressure damage caused by defective equipment or deadheading. When the set pressure exceeded, the pressure relief valve is forced to open & the portion of the fluid is diverted to the auxiliary route. As the fluid is diverted, the pressure inside the vessel or process system will drop and once it reaches the valve’s resetting pressure, the valve will close. This will protect the vessel or process system from damage due to abnormal excess pressure conditions. Valves are available in 1/4" to 2” sizes in PP, PVC, PVDF, SS304 and SS316.

Pulsation Dampener (Volume Bottle Type)

Pulsation is another problem that is typical with most metering pumps and in some cases cannot be tolerated by the application. Pulsation dampeners are available in a variety of sizes and materials for such situations and help remove a high degree of pulsing and surging in the line. They only work if installed properly, in the right order in the line and with the right pressure. A bottle type pulsation damper may be required in some installations where the suction piping is long or has many bends; this is because metering pumps ‘push’ against pressures. The damper will reduce the effects of acceleration pressure losses, thus assisting the pump to perform correctly. Dampeners on the suction side of the pump take care to feed the pump & limiting the risk of cavitations.

“Y” type strainers

“Y” type strainers are device which are used for mechanically removing solids from flowing liquids or gases by means of a perforated or wire mesh straining elements. The design is compact and full flow, with large filtration area for low pressure drop and more debris collection. It is provided with drain Plug which can be replaced with Ball valve for frequent blow off. Element is strengthened for rigidity and long life and fitted in machined seats. Strainers with Screwed / Socket Weld end in stainless steel CF8, CF8M and Cast Steel Construction. Available in sizes from ¼" to 3" (6mm to 80mm).
