India’s great Engineering firm Larsen & Toubro (L&T) has operationalized two thermal power units of 660 MW each at state-run NTPC’s Khargone plant in Madhya Pradesh and Tanda project in Uttar Pradesh. L&T demonstrated the company’s capabilities in executing complex power projects which is highly appreciated in India. We at Positive Metering Pumps ( India ) Pvt Ltd, feel proud to be a part of both these projects. We supplied Boiler Feed Water Treatment Packages for both these projects. Our engineers designed manufactured Ammonia, Hydrazine & Oxygen Dosing Packages for Tanda & Khargaon Power Projects.
The operationalization of these units has enabled the National Thermal Power Corporation of India to add 1,320 MW capacity to the national grid, Packages in the image are being used for Ammonia Dosing. Ammonia is dosed for boosting pH in condensate(feed water). Feed water has to be alkalized to pH of 9 or little high(higher alkalized solution causes caustic corrosion), to reduce oxidation and to support the formation of a stable layer of Magnetite on water side surface of the boiler, protecting metal from further corrosion.
